read my mail without my permission
I went on holiday and left my front door key with a friend. When I returned the key was given back to me but they had made a copy of it.
Some time later when they knew I was away they had used the key to enter my home and took a note that was left to me. I found out about this when I contacted the person ( a possible buyer of my home) by email who left the note,
they told me that my friend had phoned them up and told a pack of lies to them about the state of my home.
Is there a law in the uk against what my so-called friend did/ enter and take a note and make that phone call.
Many thanks
ERMM.

Try to get a free half hour with a solicitor if you haven't already got one to sort out your house sale, you could also ask your local police station for help in getting back the duplicate key, the note was your property so a theft has occurred
