Ceiling Fans
Can anybody please let me know how to balance the fan blades on a ceiling fan, because when I switch it on, it vibrates only a little, but still annoying.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I bought a conservatory fan about 7 years ago - expensive (155 pounds), Swiss made, came with balancing kit and instructions - unfortunately I can't remember the exact procedure, but it involved sticking self adhesive weights to the blades - you could do the same with lumps of Blu Tack.
I do remember that the instructions said that even though the fan was balanced at manufacture, it could still vibrate if the mounting pole wasn't truly vertical.

It's perfectly possible for an exactly balanced ceiling fan to still wobble around when it's working. The fan sets up an airflow that, due to the size and shape of a room, is uneven and blustery-like when it arrives back at the fan. This uneven airflow arriving at the blades can cause the best-balanced of fans to wobble.
