Suggest you read your history. The UK was not some place of peace and harmony and love before you were born.
There has always been crime, death, murders, nutters etc. It did not all start in the last 10 years.
Heard of the Yorkshire Ripper (who cut women up), Donald Nielson (who slept with his dead victims), Ian Brady and Myra Hindley who tortured young children and recorded their screams (and then they killed them)?
Jack the Ripper murdered and mutilated women in Victorian times (do you think people wrote to the paper in those days saying "what is the UK turning into")
The Vikings came over a couple of thousand years ago and killed, raped and pillaged.
The Romans killed hundreds of British people when taking over the country.
William the Conquerer killed many of the British population after he won at Hastings in 1066.
Elizabeth the First, and Mary who followed her (bl00dy Mary), killed many people who were not of their religion, some by burning them at the stake.
