threats to shoot
Does anyone know the procedure the Police should take when someone reports to them that they have been threatened by someone with a gun? This person threatened to kill both myself and my husband after we confronted him over the deaths of my Neapolitan Mastiff's.

He was stood in his barn door way. How was we to know where he had the gun's. He is known for driving around with them in his land rover. The Police Sgt refused to take his weapons away from him pending investigation, saying he was no threat. YET they have fitted me with a 'panic button' just in case!
His words were 'if you do not get off my property I will do the same to you as I did to your dog's' Yes shot dead, hence threatened to kill with a gun. Not a spud gun, not a water pistol a real live shot gun or rifle we knew he had, he could have had it in his barn for all we knew. when it happens to you Bednobs you will know what it feels like and how frightening it was, even more so when the Police have the same attitude as you have to something as frightening as this. It is no wonder this Country has no law and order when people twist the law round to suit themselves. Saves on paperwork.
but you just said you weren't on his property!
you are right i have never had this happen to me, but being "threatened with a gun" is very different to what you are discribing. I can see that you fell this is unsatisfactorily resolved, but six months down the line, i'm really not sure what you can acheive. In one of your previous postings on this, you indicated that your complaint against the police was upheld. Did the people investigating you complaint not give you advice of what you could do now, or what upholding your complaint means?
