Help, please...
before I throw it out the window !!! Have just got my computer back [running Microsoft Vista] it was up and running, so I went to have a look at a webcam site, no problems, then I set up Firefox and now I can't access the webcam - says I need plugins - downloaded something [???] twice, still no access - does anyone know what I've done - any help would be great

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you're experiencing difficulties watching streamed videos with Firefox it's almost certainly due to the Adobe Flash Plug-in. If it's not functioning properly (as sometimes happens) any attempt to download it fails because your PC thinks that it's already there.
However the solution is easy. Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Uninstall the Adobe Flash Player Plug-in. Restart your PC. (That might not strictly be necessary but I'd advise it anyway). Then download Flash Player from here:

Thank you all for your replies - I'm sorry I didn't get back to my question but the dear thing decided to drop my internet access - I will work through the suggestions and report back later
Yes Karen, it was the ospreys - and when I checked first I had no problems - then I loaded Firefox and that was that - haven't been able to check since.

Are you using Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser? If you are, you may need to download a plug-in to view Windows Media Player properly. Download the Google Chrome or Firefox plug-in.
Click on Firefox and it will download the correct plug-in x
