Are there any footballers of any nationality who played in the English Premier League last season who can be said to have had a good World Cup?

Or put in a better than average performance in any of the matches?

Dirk Kuyt has played well for Holland and Johann Cruyff is full of praise for him.

Oh yes I'd forgotten about Kuyt, he certainly seems to give 100% for both club and country.
Funny isn't it....the excuse for england they were all tired after a long season....Dirk call me duracell bunny wasn't tired.... Biggest disapointment for me was Pienaar....thought he'd play better in his home country
Mascherano and Tevez played well for Argentina, Lampard, Gerrard and James didn't do badly, van Persie as well for Holland, Song, Bassong and Assou-Ekotto of Cameroon played credibly, Ryan Nelsen was a star man for New Zealand, Kingson, Pantsil and Kevin-Prince Boateng gave their all for Ghana.

There are others, but that little lot shows you how influential the EPL has been on the tournament.

Of those others maybe Tevez was the best?
