Find a car's real age via insurance quote software

Some online insurance companies use software which invites you to enter a car's registration number while entering your car's detail only for the car's details to appear on screen. I want to use this to find out the true age of a car with a personalised number. Does anyone know such a company

How would it work? personalised number plates can be moved from car to car.

The DVLA website does this - you need the reg and maunfacturer.
