Fire Alarm fright
1 Answers
Whilst we were at a hotel at the weekend, the fire alarm went off at 1.30am Sun morning. Panic !! I was sleeping in the nude as it was so hot (probably others too) trying to find something to put on and my handbag. Hubby hysterical as doesnt realise what happening as Im throwing him anout the room.About 45 people rushing into the car park in fluffy dressing gowns or boxer shorts, children crying. It was all very frightening. It was a false alarm, luckily. Probably someone smoking in their bedroom the manager said. How thoughtless. At breaksfast next morning, everybody said it took ages to get back to sleep as their hearts were pounding (as was ours) and could hear everyone talking for ages afterwards. If someone had a heart problem, they could have had a seizure. Ive never been in this situation before and hope never again. It was a really frightening experience. You dont know what you are confronting when you come out of your bedroom but luckily everything was ok.
