On a related question, 'wideboy' mentioned turning off Digital Rights Management on WMA and Mediaplayer.

What is this, and how do you do it?

DRM is just something that some companies add onto their music files, that prevents you from having totally freedom with your music.

For example, any music bought off the iTunes Music Store has DRM built-in, and it stops you from playing that music on more than about 5 computers (or something like that).

Personally I totally disagree with it, hence why I still buy CDs and rip them myself to non-DRM'd files.
In Media Player 10, go to Tools/Options/Rip Music/Copy protect music and untick it. Earlier versions I think had DRM under Tools etc.
