Ye all may mock - but it was the biggest black one I've ever seen. And it's unlucky to cross one, so I just watched it, agog, from afar.

Well, sqadlet dearest, there are quite a lot of black ones around my parts. And if I had to have one at all these days, it would indeed be black. But there's big,,, and then there's scarily enormous. This one was the latter.

I came across a puma in my garden the other week. It was a Roma, size 9 and I think it was accidentally discarded by a drunk at my barbeque.

I really should stop this.

Black labrador, poor light or a trick of the light. just large cat ...there are no wild pumas in the uk or Simon King would have filmed them for Springwatch
If I knew where you live I'd send my familiar to teach you the error of your cat hating ways....might be fun to be a werecat though....think of the trouble you could cause...
