I can vividly remember when I was about 18 months old, I was proceeding down our garden and found the tortoise in some grass. I can remember what I was wearing. I am told that is exceptionally young to remember, but I also remember my Dad's 40th birthday which was just before I was two, Mum made a fruit cake and we put a cardboard 40 on it because he didn't like icing. I can see the picture of it in my mind still.

I've been getting deja vu a lot lately. It's not something I've been afflicted with before, but in the last few weeks, I've had several weird moments...

Sleep paralysis is something I've suffered from too. I notice it happens when I'm very stressed. Last time I woke up unable to move or call out was when my ex's daughter died Christmas before last. I hate it, but I don't let it frighten me anymore.
braveheart do you remember much about it though?

cheek ttfn, I had my nap at 4pm! 4get I think your q is reasonable, since lots of people say "ah you remember because you were told", but I know when I related these memories to my mother, she was amazed as they were actual incidents, and so inconsequential at the time that she would not have told me about them. I also remember that the family used to move my cot from one side of the room to the other "so I wouldn't get bored" which as a tiny person I found very confusing, and before the age of 3 I asked our home help to stop doing it. She had to go and consult with my mum but I clearly remember standing in the bedroom saying "please don't keep moving my bed". These memories are few but they are genuine recall, I can still see them in my mind very clearly.
Ha ha boxtops. Nomercy I used to get it all the time but not since I got with my bloke, which I spose is good as may have scared him off lol. Whenever I used to see things, giant octopus, huge ladybirds and monkeys I just used to put a light on it and focus, but the opposite one when you are paralysed to the bed is horrible
I've had sleep paralysis a few times - it is awful and so frightening at the time. I always feel I'm being pinned down to the bed by an incubus, very very scary.

My earliest memory would be around the age of 3 - I was on my tricycle racing Lil around the block. I fell off and knocked my front tooth all squew-wiff. Lil wet herself laughing, I went running to mum and she smacked me for messing about. Nothing's changed....
My Gran had very long hair and my sisters used to go to see her twice a week just to brush it for her, and I can remember sitting on her knee while they did it. I'm not really sure how old I was at the time but she died when I was 4.
