we have such a wide variation of people and opinions on here, some hurtful, some useful and the majority , entertaining, I enjoy sallas and NMs threads e.g,

I like news most days. A good argument about what you believe in is good for you. Better than everyone agreeing with your every thought.

yes, it would be nice to have that sort of convo about trivial stuff as well greedy in cb, those convo's are few and far between now, nothing to get ones teeth into, so to speak.. ;)

I guess people just see CB as a place to vent or just have a laugh. Majority of conversations in here are silly but fun. I rarely look at the other catagories now because hardly anyone posts in them. I check out B&S and Music generally and that is it.

I think also people are afraid on conflict on here. I like to have a goo debate and I not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I won't be told I am wrong!

That's why I like News because I can argue and hurt peoples feelings. Whereas in here it's a little different - you can offend people very easily online without meaning to and I think people sometimes sensor themselves to avoid confrontation.

There are times, though, when a CBer will post a topic in a serious thread - I will still go there. There are debates I avoid and others I join in.

That's what I mean. The section should be for silly inane chatter and the odd serious conversation also. If people don't like the content of this section then they should just avoid - I do from time to time. Instead of b!tching about what should be here and shouldn't.

I prefer AB now to when it began because it is less serious. I like to come on here have a chat about whatever and offer some advice and leave. That's what it should be about. And it mostly is. There are some nice people on here who I have some good chats with and I like that.
