Now that scientists have proved that the chicken arrived before the egg what does this tell us about evolution?

Can I put a sealant on the inside of my freezer to repair a tear?

I think neither came first. They're both part of the life cycle of the same species and therefore co-evolved. This method of reproduction evolved from.........what??

All chickens hatch from eggs . . . without egg-ception.

But then you must first be clear on which egg you're referring to. The chicken is conceived before the egg it hatched out of is fully developed complete with its encapsulating shell. Then again there could be no conception without an egg to be fertilized, which in the case of the first chicken was produced within the now egg-stinct proto-chicken.
