plant identification

Please can anyone help? I bought some plants in a job lot and I'm stumped with one of them! The sides of the leaves are shaped lijke the teeth of a saw, not sharp enough to stab you but not soft either. It's only about 6 x 6 inches at the moment but I want to know where to place it. Any suggestions gratefully recieved, as with a few suggestions on names, I can look it up in a plant book. Thank you.
