Belfast

Hi I am a 20 year old female and on Monday me and my best friend are going to belfast for the T vital festival.

Can anyone recommend some must see or do things in Belfast and also any good clubs and pubs which aren't too expensive!

We like rock and indie music mainly.

Any suggestions warmly received. Thanks xx

Without wanting to sound like a cocktail waiter you can mix history with alcohol (not that I am suggesting you get sozzled!) but you can do the historic pub tour -go to the tourist office to get the leaflet- where you visit all of the older pubs in Belfast such as McHUGH�S BAR -which consequently is the oldest building in Belfast dating from 1715- and the National Trust owned one CROWN LIQUOR SALOON etc., Enjoy! There are nice churches too.............

There are loads of "trendy" bars in belfast now, the most recent being the excellent Cafe Vaudeville.  There is also the apartment, the fly, the northern whig which are all free in and have a good atmosphere.

 

Other good clubs include the Potthouse, La Lea, Milk (but these can be �10 in on a saturday night!)

You could also try the Parlour on Eglantine Avenue, whic is not far from Botanic Gardens.  It's quite a studenty place and the pizza is great.  There's also the Empire on Botanic Avenue or Auntie Annie's on the Dublin Road.
