So if the place below ends up being a no goer, where else can you recommend?

We want to go to Majorca as my hubby has family there who we haven't seen in ages. They live near Palma and previously we have stayed in Magaluf/Palma Nova but I'm sick of it there and want to go to a different resort. I fancy the holiday village but it is very expensive. Can anyone recommend anywhere else? It has to be self catering, good pool, even better if its next to the beach, the chance for my daughter to play with other kids and air conditioned.

we've had 3 great holidays in pollensa.
lovely, long beach, plenty of restaurants along the beach and main square.
no traffic along the beach promenade, so safe for kids.
nice, clean, safe resort.
shops to look round as well as the marina.

Whereabouts have you stayed? I am worried about the sodding sunbeds now in a big resort though I dare say it will be a pain anywhere we go!
