oh yes the kids i forgot to mention them !!
The last time I went to the cinema was when I took my friend's son to see 'Fierce Creatures', back in 1997.

I watch very few films anyway, even on TV. If I watch a movie it's usually something I've picked up cheaply, on VHS, in a charity shop. It's likely to be either an old Ealing comedy or something from Spain or France.
I don't go much to mainstream cinema. Mostly I go to our local Filmhouse which shows the more obscure and foreign films. The noisy brigade tend not to go there.
One thing I notice now is that the soundtrack volume is always very loud and at my age with slightly reduced hearing if I think it's loud then IT'S LOUD.
Last time I went was when Lord Of The Rings was showing.
Some idiot about the age of 14 had a laser pointer and kept pointing it at the screen.
I moaned to the usherette about 12 Years old and she as I guessed did nowt.
So vowed never to return to a cinema until they start to staff them properly.
Now have my big screen plasma ....home cinema ...so watch films at home ..much better than sitting in a public place for. Few hours...
Refuse to go to the multiscreens. Living in Hertfordshire we are luck to have a small cinema in the next town which is a delight to go to

There are some things watching films at home just don't manage to deliver... it doesn't seem so ..........add your own description....to cuddle up on your own sofa rather than being in a public place
OH and I go to the cinema regularly. Don't particularly like our Cineworld place, but not much other choice really. We used to have "unlimited" cards, but gave them up when we got our new digi TV system. Still go to the cinema though. Today we went to see "Inception" with Leonardo diCaprio. OH thought it was marvellous, it completely passed me by it was so confusing! There is such a load of rubbish released nowadays! Hope to go and see "Toy Story 3" with some friends next weekend.

But the thing that really gets us, even more than rustling sweet packets and popcorn munching are people who keep their mobile phones on during a film and when you get a row of young people behind you all sniggering and talking through the film that you've paid good money to go and see. Hate it when you can see someone's mobile phone light in the corner of your eye right down at the front of the cinema!

And we complained and complained about it to the cinema management, but guess what they did about it - yes, you've got it in one - absolutely nothing! That was one of the other reasons we stopped our Unlimited subscription!
last time I went was banned heroe 3. Me and bloke dont bother, might aswell wait a few months and get DVD. I dont mind the surroundings in a cinema but I am disgusted with the price of food. Past few times I went I've took my own in and have also managed to sneak in a couple of kentucky mini fillets in my hoodie pocket
30 years ago I used to go at least once a week. Then I moved and have only been to the picture about a dozen times since - the smell of popcorn/butter was enough to put me off - until this year. Have seen 10 films this year so far.
We go to our local 5 screen cinema on a week-day afternoon, probably about once a month. We have the place to ourselves almostthe last time we went there were 27 people in there. (a perk of being an oap) half price, no kids, no mobiles, no sweet wrappers or jemcrisp bags.
Orange Wednesday gem?
I do like it but it is so annoying when kids at the back obv been there all day sneaking into all the films. Aghhhh! i have been known to shout at them to get the hell out! Wouldnt now though, prob get knifed! Best cinaema experience i had was mamma mia, was packed, ushers moving us along to free up seats you always leave between you and other people. lol. all got up and danced at end! great! gonna risk it and take my 5 yr old in cinema to see toy story3- i will love it! she will love the food (that i will take by the way)
