There are going to be 10 copies of his autobiography printed with the signature page made from paper pulp mixed with his blood. The book is 1/2 metre square, weighs 37 kg, and the 852 pages are edged in gold leaf.

All for $75,000.

What nutter (other than his family) would fork out for that?

there are many rich Indians, some of whom regard him as one of the greatest cricketers. Perhaps it would have sounded less gory if they'd just woven a lock of his hair into the paper.

I'm going to have to buy a new bookcase because it won't fit on any of the shelves.

Either that or pay some out of work waif to stand in a corner of the room and hold it ready for reading.
The New Zealand All Blacks did a similar thing a few years ago: their limited edition 'Bonded by Blood' team poster had blood taken from that year's team mixed with the printer's ink.
