I ordered a wine glass last week. Payed £2.50 for p&p and the glass has arrived in about 1000 pieces. It was packed in 1 layer of bubble wrap and a bl@@dy jiffy bag! How slack can you get?? I contacted the seller before leaving feedback but have had no response. Is it just tough? Or can I do anything else?
Thanks.

Read the listing carefully to see what the seller said with regards to packing the item. Contact seller and contact Ebay by phone - they are generally very nice and helpful. I have had to deal with them a lot in the past.

You should be entitled to a refund or replacement.
if they havent responded give them bad feedback
I would advise not to leave bad feedback until you have tried everything to get the situation resolved. As 4get says if you get no reply and Ebay cannot help then leave negative feedback for them.
A wineglass by post? Are you mad?
Do'nt see what the problem is. Instead of one glass, you now have several thousand.

hopkirk-if it had been in a box in the bubblewrap it would have been fine.
Thank you greedyfly. I've followed it up.

Thanks for the bright side B00. None that can be drunk from though without needing stitches.
Can't believe how stupid people can be. You should get a full refund, it certainly isn't as described.
It doesn't matter what it says in the listing, it is the seller's responsibility to get it delivered to the buyer.
I have had an item I sent, damaged in the post, and I refunded the seller straight away. If a buyer is not happy (as you obviously aren't), then the solution is not to leave bad feedback, but to contact the seller immediately. If they dont respond appropriately then you open a dispute on eBay which is a very simple matter, they can initiate a refund via PayPal. Bad feedback should be absolutely the last resort. It's not eBay you should be grr-ing at, it's your careless seller for using inadequate packaging, - for something like that, I would have used a box, probably nothing smaller than a shoebox.
If you paid by paypal, they should be able to reclaim the money for you. I have had several problems with ebay items, and have always been refunded
why did you sign for it?

or did the postman smash it to get it through the letterbox?
