Alternative Topping For Fish Pie?

My colleaque wants me to give her a recipe for smoked fish pie,but the husband is not keen on potatoes,any abers can come up with a topping that they would both like.

fresh breadcrumbs mixed with crushed crisps and grated cheese.

If you take out the spuds does it still qualify as the same thing? It would change the entire taste.

A mashed veg topping. Potatoes and carrots...or swede.

or broc and cauli mashed up with grated cheese, i do that as a cottage pie topping instead of mashed potato.

What about, if you mixed mashed normal potatoes, sweet potatoes and cheese?
