Where I lived last there were some house on a very busy road which had basements that would flood when it rained bad due to obvious bad drainage. The council instead of offering to pay the owners to concrete up their mostly unused basements paid quite a few million to fix the drainage for the 3 houses and closed the road for it. Work went on for 3 months lol
heeeeeey, i work in a council! some of us arnt that bad :( its the tenants with the silly questions that drive me insane! 'can you please come and change my lightbulb. its broken.' 'erm no... we dont do that.' i mean really.
I too work for the council, and I always try to do my job quickly and efficiently, but some folk just take the mickey - er, I've scribbled down these nots but I don't know how to use a computer, can you just make me up 60 copies of my CV and I'll pick it up later? - I don't bloody think so!
