Try reading sets of medical notes to find information about how people died....over and over again..picking through evidence of peoples pain and distress to feed the information machine......................................
.,
I had a choice,, AB or spend the day in tears I have cried every day this week just doing my job... because these are real people real stories.... When I;m doing my normal work I don't have this to deal with so Mick talbot et al think before you post ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, some jobs you can only do for a few hours a day and stay sane in between I filed, I prepped work for colleagues and actually took 10 mins lunch break I started work early and stayed late as I often do so yes your tax money is well spent I have lost friends and colleagues who have killed themselves as a direct result of working in this environment and no I can't get another job.....I dare not risk my pension as I have no other security

Nah, get yer Mrs to apply it with one of those garden sprayers Mr Tango
Ye please Mick. Have you washed your hands as your face looks a bit grubby...?
grubby ? in what way does it look grubby Lardy?

i'll zoom out so you can ogle all of me.
I'm with you on this one rowan, If I didnt have CB and Q&P...I couldn't do the job I do. I would go mad with frustration....Popping in and out of here is nothing compared to the rest of the hard graft I'm sure we both do. From what I could see this morning Doc's blood sugar was low and he needed a bacon sandwich.

He will be along with a reassuring cuddle Rowan ♥

Once again Mick, sorry I should not have stuck my beak in.
Glad you're sorted rowan, I'm taking my choccy cake and coffee to bed as on my own tonight, so going to watch a film. The fifth element I think. G'nite all xoxo
Hi Rowan. X
Nice one rowan x
Funny my daughter is under stress as she can only get agency work. She phoned tonight and said she had nothing to do -she had even went to the boss and asked if he needed hole punched, papers stapled etc -he did take it in good spirit.
I said nip on the Internet then and and she said and I quote ;I'd rather watch the second hand tick by than anyone think I wasnt doing what i was paid for'.
She doesnt have the security of a job so wouldnt ever jeopardise any she got -I was proud of her.

I know that wasnt akin to what you are going through but just to let you know on the bottom rung its just as bad-she has a mortgage to pay and would live hand to mouth at best (if it wasnt for me)

Chin up hun x
Rowan I feel for you. Chin up girl, tomorrow is another day.♥
I hope today is a little better for you rowan. I know exactly how u feel - but you don't have to justify why you spend time on here, and I think you feel today (yesterday) that you've had to. Me too - NHS, surgery, work time , whatever- reading and hearing day in & day out real life tragedies of terminal illness, pain and disease.
Hi rowan

I can imagine how you feel. But you are doing such a worthwhile job by the sounds of it. I am a cook in our local hospital and meet a lot of nurses in the canteen and especially McMillan staff and they sometimes come in just for a 5 min break just to get away when someone has died and we chat and support them. Its a very emotional job, I dont think I could do it.

Cheers for the support everyone can we close this now...
I used to work in a hospice, I recognise what you say, AOH - debriefing when dealing with death is so important - it was me and 78 nurses, so I learned a lot - both about their personal strength and about my own take on life. It takes a certain type of doctor or nurse to be able to cope in that setting on a daily basis. We did laugh a lot though, peer support is such a boon in jobs which drain you emotionally.
sorry rowan, my post crossed with yours - nuff said, I hope today is better for you ♥
