Just been reading about Alex Higgins in the paper he looked so terrible in a photo with jimmy white just before his death!
my god what cancer can do to you, its still unbelievable you can put a man on the moon but we cant find a cure for cancer yet!!

He's led a blessed life as he had throat cancer for years yet continued to abuse his body.Im surprised he didnt die a lot sooner.

I agree - technology in every department has come on in leaps and bounds, yet they can't find a cure for cancer.

losing your teeth can age you terribly and poor Alex lost them to cancer. Recently the pros of snooker lifted £25,000 to get his teeth put in but Spanish authorities would not touch him as he was so ill bless him. He lived his life in his own way what with his snooker friends where he lived and his wee bets. Like George Best he did it his way too
