You'll want a DVD burner in your PC that's compatible with the DVD+R format. You will have to write it to the disc as an MPEG though. Also, bear in mind that the DVD recordable can be very expensive and, whilst they will work on standard home DVD players, compatability is only guaranteed with players bought in the last year or so.
There are other DVD writing formats out there though. These are DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW. The latter are re-writable versions of the former, although these generally are not compatible with stnadrd DVD players.
