I pay for gas by monthly direct debit. Not had the boiler on for a while as we don't need the heating, and we have an electric shower. I've not been cooking due to kitchen refurbishment and I've just had an email to say my monthly payment is 78 pence.

got my flat bill last month estimated 280 quid, flat is empty sent themt meter readings got bill for £0
Ooh 4get - £0 - One of my favourite prices! My electric has gone down to £5 & my gas down to £20 for the next 12 months - thought that was good!
hoping my bill at house will be ok as havnt had water heater on for months, have solar
Solar is fabulous, cos it works even if the summer turns out to be sh!te!
I can beat you all. We moved into a house that had just had gas installed but no-one had used it. We were told by previous owner he had arranged with British gas for us to be supplied and yes we had gas but when I rang them they didnt know anything about it . To cut a long story short for over 12month we were getting gas but no-one would charge us (believe me we tried 4 different companies and rang transco who said they didnt recognise our meter) Eventually we got a company to accept us as customers and sort out with transco but by then we had used about £400 of gas but as no supplier had been charged we didnt get billed and our present supplier gave us a bonus for signing with them!! Great while it lasted but we are now having to pay like everyone else
