Iradically idleing Fiat Brava.

My 1996 N reg Fiat Brava 1.4SX (81,000 miles) will sometimes start no problem and sometimes it needs some throtle to get it going. When idleing it sounds like it wants to stall, and sometime it does! Once its been driven for a while it tends to start first time and stalls less, what could be wrong?

Sounds like the fuel pump or even the fuel pipes need attention.
