my next door neighbour has removed his old rendering but when he did he also chipped away some of ours but today he as decided to replace it with new render but as not replaced it on our side so there is now a gap and we do not get on with our neighbours already over another issue we had with them so we can not talk to them about this issue so is there anything else we can do

Wait for a reasonable time, then if necessary, send them a letter giving them a reasonable time to repair.
If that is not forthcoming, get a solicitor to send a letter threatening legal action.
Simple as that.
You have two choices:
a) Speak to them about it
b) Get a solicitor to do it on your behalf.
a) is considerably cheaper than b)
There is another option and that is to do it yourself and that way you would not need to speak to them. Maybe if they saw you trying to do it they would then offer to finish it.
If I were you I would just do it myself as the longer you leave it the more chance of your render starting to blow I think. Then it would be a big job.
