I saw Ike and Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones, the Trogs and the Kinks plus other acts that I can't remember, all for the sum of 15/- that is 75 pence. Can anyone beat that.

I saw Billy Idol in a run-down pub in Margate before he went off to the states and became famous. Didn't think much of it at the time.

I saw the Beatles twice in 1963 when they came to Northampton on tour with a load of other acts. My Mum's friend ran a shop and gave my sister and I the tickets she got for putting a poster in the shop window. The first time they were down the bill, but the screaming girls were just getting started. The second time they came they were top of the bill and I never heard a word they were singing.

Saw AC/DC, Ozzy, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Gary Moore, Accept, Y & T on the same Donington festival bill. One of the best lineups and it did not rain! Ticket was £11. It costs that for a programme today.

I went to see the Temperance Seven when I was about 11, I think it was four shillings to go in.

I saw Suzie Quatro last year outdoors in a small town in Germany for free. Took me back to my youth.
