Can I take out comprehensive insurance on a car that is registered in my son's name but that I have paid for and that I will be the main driver of? He would be a named driver and is over 30 years old.
I tried to insure a friends car for myself to use while he was banned and was told by several insurance companies that I can not insure a car not owned by myself as I have no insurable interest in it. (I ended up buying it from him for £1 and selling it back to him when he got his license back)
I thought it might be something like that. Magicmerlin, having sadly had experience with a Bailiff, (hopefully over that now), I don't want to be in that situation again. I think I should tell the insurance company now as it is Saga Insurancve, do you agree anyone?
Just done a comparison site search and found 15 odd sites cheaper than Saga. I stated that I was the main driver but not the registered owner. Seemples!!
