Sun Gold tomatoes.
Several years ago there was a public tomato tasting on Gardeners World . There was a choice of 20 different types of tomatoes and the one that came out top , miles ahead of all the others was the yellow cherry tomato Sun Gold .
It was scoring 10 out of 10 for taste compared with all the others 6 or 7.
I never got round to growing them until this year and I must admit the taste is fantastic but there is one problem the thin outer skin is unchewable. You have to spit it out . I have tried cutting them up and mixing them with a salad but I still end up with a mouthful of skin.
I have masses of these tomatoes on only 3 plants and I eat them like sweets, they are so tasty but not in company.
Has anyone had this problem and is there a solution.

I wonder if your Sun Gold skins are tough because of lack of water. You can often find that in very dry summers, tomatoes do grow thicker skins as a form of protection. My Sun Gold skins don't seem to be any thicker than the Gardeners Delight, but mine are all watered copiously on an almost daily basis unless it has been raining.
