Hip replacement
I am a fit 66 year old but have been told that I will need a hip replacement in future. However, I am not too keen on the operation and will do anything to 'keep myself going' i.e. exercise and medicines.
Any suggestions.

I repeat keep moving ,take Glucosamine,go swimming.I am not keen on operations but i shall be extremely glad when they do decide it's time for me have a new hip.Then...they might give me a new knee..you never know your luck.
To be frank I could peg out before I get a replacement and will have put up with years of pain for nothing!! It's all a gamble really
i would seriously consider having the hip replacment as i have just lost me dear nanny and she has had a bad hip for a few years now, but her health deteariated and she began to develop lots of other problems, she was 77. eventually over the past year her hip was so bad that she had to crawl up the stairs and go down them on her bum with the help from my grandad. it was very sad to see.so please deffinaly consider having it done, u wont regret it i promise
