I'v just sat on the remote and now cant get rid of subtitles on the tv, what do I do?

Turn the volume off ?

Press random buttons til you find the one that turns off subtitles.

(Although to be fair the last time I did that, we had to reprogram the whole tele. I am banned from touching it now).

Turn the tv off and let whoever turns it on next sort it out. Unless you live on your own of course in which case you're bu88ered...
