I have this Canon IX4000 and been using it for months now, suddenly print went bad in which I thought just an ink clogging. Nozzle check results blank line prints are not that consistent, colored are smudged.
I assume it was a print head problem and what I did is purchased a new print head and replaced the old one.
Nozzle check result: "Black not printing", "Colored (CMY) are printing stripes"!
Please someone HELP!!!!

Have you tried the cleaning function? Settings, printers, richt-click properties. maintenance tab. There are two cleaning functions on my Canon ip4700. Cleaning and Deep Cleaning. These will use ink so make sure the tanks are reasonably full. Sometimes it can take one or two cleans for good results. Hope it gets sorted.
sic that should read right-click!
