The AnswerBank FeedBack (FeedBackBank?)
Thanks for your feedback Guys - I'd really like some more though!
A quick clarification, or an answer to "Why?":
*We were looking "scruffy" - we're trying to smarten up a bit. We will eventually have a consistent language throughout the site (we havn't got it quite right yet, but we will).
*We were trying to make it harder for users to enter questions JUST in the title box. This might be something which effects Q&P more than other areas. (We're aware of the "no title" problems)
*We wanted to make some minor changes to the My Profile section of the site - in particular make the "Activate Avatar" link/tickbox into a button. (Avatar activation instructions here: http://www.theanswerb...g/Question888790.html - new ones will be provided in the coming week)
*We wanted to remove a couple of tension points from the profile - namely the "reported/removed" count.
Let us know what you think of all the changes.
We're aware of the IE7 "button" problem. There are two solutions to this - 1. Wait for the techies to fix it 2. upgrade to IE8 (http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/internet
-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx ),
or switch to Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox
.html?utm_id=Q108&utm_source=google&utm_mediu
m=ppc&gclid=CI-mv53NkKMCFYKX2Aode2G_mA )
or Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome )
Please dump issues here as well as support or criticisms. If you could be as descriptive in your reasoning as possible it would really help us make the next update even better.
All the best,

No best answer has yet been selected by AB Editor. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I’m still waiting for the return of the “italicise, embolden, underline” functions - or are they up & I’ve missed it? Also, PLEASE turn your attention to finding a font that will eliminate the need to distinguish between, for instance, ‘I’ (cap “eye”) & ‘l’ (small “ell”), etc & allow for easier reading across the site.
Still a happy AB’er -

Glad you're still happy. We're going for evolution rather than revolution at the moment, so these changes will come, in time.
We've spoken about using our own conventions for some various "emphasis" problems. We'll update you when we've got something concrete.
"Also, PLEASE turn your attention to finding a font that will eliminate the need to distinguish between, for instance, ‘I’ (cap “eye”) & ‘l’ (small “ell”), etc & allow for easier reading across the site. "
Yes, I agree. It needs to be dealt with.

"have a tiny thin white line to ask a question in so have to fiddle around each time to get it the right size - also have a funny pale blue fragmented oblong box in the centre of the screen overlayed with the light coloured surround edging of 'search in answerbank'."

You can take a screenshot with the prtscrn button.
What browser do you happen to be using? If it is IE6 or 7 it might be best to upgrade.

PS. Permanently banned users will remain as such.
You know that we are playing a game with each other to draw attention to the fact that a double identity is possible in AB. Unfortunately the ED has a real problem in this regard when a person is banned and re-registers under a different name and e/mail address.
Just in case other ABers are unable to appreciate our banter, the following should make everything quite clear.

Ron...( I swear itsnotme.)
Personally,I can't understand why you appear to be on the side of itsnotme, who hasn't even been a member of AB for more than a few days and I think he's a real conman.
Best wishes.......Ron.
