wasps on a contoniasta plant!

in our front garden up against the wall, we have a contoniasta bush!
For the last week or so there's been loads of wasps hovering about , and now its geting worse. I'm worried that they will come and attack if we attempt to get rid of them.
How would you get rid of them, as I havent got a clue how to go about this.

To get rid of wasps you need to know where their nest is. Spraying a wasp killer powder such as 'Doff' onto the entrance to the nest in the evening will kill them off. They trample the powder into the nest as they return for the night, and fumes from the powder finish them off. However - that's not to say you won't get wasps from another nest coming along. But none of them are interested in you, and if you just ignore them and leave them alone, they'll leave you alone.

I don`t think Cotoneaster shrubs encourage wasps, what you have are bees collecting pollen for their hive and honey, just leave alone and they will soon leave, otherwise you won`t have the berries on the shrub, just green leaves.

hi -- they are wasps ! not bees. havent found any nest at present, but will search later tonight for one. They seem a bit dopey, maybe drunk on the blossom, lol.
I'll see what happens tomorrow before I do anything, as I hate to kill the little blighters x

Wasps are particularly attracted to cotoneaster. The small flowers are rich in nectar, and are easier than many other flowers for the wasps to feed on - (wasps have shorter tongues than bees do). But, (to reassure Pusskin), even when my hedge is swarming with wasps and I take my electric hedge-trimmer to it, the wasps don't bother about me - they just move out of the way.
