Depends what your making?
joko what are you making,of course you can if you are making a omelette or alike...
well the yolks are the Yellow and the white is the white, mix them together and your just whipping an egg
yeah its called scrambled!!!!
if you just whisk the white it turns in to a nice fluffy meringue that i like to fill with raspberrys and cream. are you cooking some thing nice?
It won't stiffen up though (like meringue mix)
Assuming that you require merangue, no you can't whisk them together.
Even a spot of yolk will stop the merangue forming.
it might if you add sugar.

ah...thats what i meant prudie...i wondered why sepaarte

i am making a type of tortilla - the recipe says separate the whites, whisk till stiff...then mix the yolk back in...then add to the flour...

just curious why i couldnt just mix it all up

Don't know why but as madmaggot syas egg whites won't stiffen if there's even a drop of anything else in with it, eg even if the bowl isn't spotless
