Wot's the music on the American Express ad with the geezer in the phone box? It sounds like Andy Williams, but I don't think it is. HELP.

Progress! It's amazing what a bit of research yields innit? "You've Made Me So Very Happy", originally by Blood, Sweat and Tears, covered by Sammy Davis Junior, Lou Rawls and Gloria Estefan to name a few. Who this version is remains a mystery. Sounds like the Williamsmeister...any offers?
That particular version is by Mel Torme. Hope that helps. Its a fantastic song!!!
I'll add that it was written by Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr. with Brenda and Patrice Holloway and Frank Wilson. And BS&T featured the phenomenal Al Kooper on keyboards, who also plays the sweeping intro to 'Like A Rolling Stone' for Dylan.

Slaphead, are you SURE it's Mel Torme? I've checked all the P2P software in my grubby collection and NO-ONE has it. I think it's a conspiracy. The Whispers version is very good, however it goes a bit rubbish at the end.
Well the song is 'You've made me so very happy' and the version on the ad, is Mel Torme
Dear Mr poohead You can buy the album on amazon its called the best of Mel Torme & if you log onto Amazom.com you can listen to a sample. We too have been looking for it in the shops and can't find a Mel Torme album with this record on.
