Have been eating River Cobbler from Tescos for Weekend breakfast for a few months now and we love it. Just Googled it to find out more about it and came across some mixed reaction. Anyone like to add a comment

Ive eated most things on my travels and I just love all food and trying different things (just cannot face rice pudding) Thanks for all input
It is also sold in Waitrose. It is called, I think, Basa and is with chilli and lemongrass. It is delicious and I've never suffered any ill effects but I haven't eaten it for some weeks because of the negative publicity. It's getting to the stage where I'm worried about just about everything we eat!
I've also heard it referred to as catfish, I personally really like it.
I like it lightly fried, coated in well seasoned flour, served with new potatoes and seasonal veg. It's not one of those 'fishy' tasting fishes. I've not seen any bad press but just had a look and it's not putting me off.
I would've expected tests etc.... to be carried out before it was sold here in the UK but like I said I really like it.

It's absolutely wonderful, the nearest to smoked black halibut i've tasted. Don't listen to the doom mongers, if you saw how all food is dealt with, you would not eat a thing. Even veg/fruit has had nasties on it and people say that they are 'wholesome' & 'healthy' foods. Eat what you enjoy .
