My son has just bought the above vehicle, but I have a concern because the Engine Management light keeps coming on (for 2-3 minutes) then off for maybe 15 minutes then on again. Spoke to the seller who said that this had happened for the two years he was the owner. Spoke to someone else who said they had had two Vectras and this had happened. Is this just a 'minor' problem with Vectras, or is it something to worry about?

Help me.

The light should not come on after the engine has started, there is a fault get the seller to sort it.

It will be stored in the ECU system. Get it scanned to get an idea on what to fix.
I would think it is emissions tho.

I too had the same problem but with an Astra. Main Vauxhall dealer checked the car and it was an electrical fault. I could either forget it and have it disconnected (??? yeah I know) or have it fixed but it would be expensive. Took it back to where I bought it and they done it under gurantee. (They took it back to the main dealer!)
