I was looking for information on a site I had ordered a football kit from for my son, the kit hadn't turned up and the site had closed down. Googling led me here to other people who had been ripped off by the same site.
I don't do Facebook, 4getmenot. This site takes up too much of my time for much else on the internet!
mmmm did you look up my question?
you son of a gun, 4get!
It looks like Jno is quite good at detective work too ;-)
I just can't remember how I found this site! it was a long time ago now!!!!!!.....
uh oh. Shhhhhhhhhhh its our secret ;-)
I got shown it by a friend who thought I might find the music section useful, I spotted the technology section and started answering questions...and still here!
hi welshxx
4get, I've been googling away and the quote you give comes up with a site for a film called Adrift, in 2006. However the only site I can find is a subscription site where people write alternative endings - so I can't check the quote. Could this be the one?
I saw it mentioned in a book about useful websites.....I came, looked, posted a Q....and was hooked.
It's interesting that Boxtops found that quote from a film called 'Adrift', as I'd found it mentioned in a video game of the same name (which is presumably derived from the film).
never heard of it so doubt thats it
Chris, is that the video game site, "somethingawful" or similar? - it confused me as to what it was!
Yes, it seems that we were looking at the same site, Boxtops.
I was a poster about 4 or 5 years ago. Then when I moved and changed servers it took me ages to come back on & my old profile with a different name had been wiped.
Anyone remember - phylkat'?
I found AB on Google looking for info.

jem
Oh, lids, egg-beaters and toe-nails, eh, Jemisa? That almost sounds kinky! ;-)

I was approached by the company who started the AB, to work for them as a writer. When it became a 'stand alone' Q & A site, i stayed on, so I have been with the site since it started, and am the longest serving AB'er.

I'm not bragging - someone happens to be the oldest - it just happens to be me.
Just by aimlessly searching the internet.
