Too nice?

Over the years on AB I have noticed that there are people nasty most of the time, nasty some of the time, pleasant some of the time and then a small group who are pleasant all the time.
The group that interests me mainly is the group that is pleasant and understanding ALL the time whatever the topic. Although many are in the other groups, this particular group, mainly women, although there is one man, are understanding, helpful and compassionate and have bucket loads of sympathy all the time.
My question for general discussion is, can this group of people be so understanding that it defeats it’s own object and become predictable and verging on nauseous? Odd question eh?
There are people mainly on Body and Soul who are “attention seekers” and quite often I have the impression that they, the attention seekers, are fed by the “understanding group” hitherto described.
Attention-seeking is particularly noticeable with females so I've used the pronoun "she" and she commonly exploits the suffering of others to gain attention to herself.
Males also exhibit attention-seeking behaviour.
Just something for general discussion.

There's only ever been one person, who was ubelievably nice, who did turn out to be genuine and that was/is Big Mama.and truth be told i didn't like her to begin with for al lthe reasons above. She has however won me over, and she really is a lovely lovely lady who has never had a bad word to say about anyone.
The rest though- still make me want to hurl.

Thank you. I was given Cetirizine 10mg tablets yesterday. I've been directed to . . . take TWO tablets every morning, ONE tablet at LUNCH TIME and ONE tablet at NIGHT.
The thing is, there's probably only 4 hours between morning and lunch time, and 10 hours from lunch time til night time. Then 10 hours from night til morning.
Would they be better if they were evenly spaced out? And wouldn't it be better if I had the TWO at night as they'll probably make me drowsy, won't they?

I'm not sure if I am in 'the catagory' referred to - but my stance is this.
I have always read a Question, thought for a moment, and started typing. My responses come as i think of them, i don;t dwell even for a few minutes, just say what's on my mind and put it out there, and see what happens.
i am a fundementally nice person, and I make no apoloigy for that, we are all what we are, based ont our experiences as we grow up and live in our own worlds.
I always take questions on face value - a trait leanrd as a Samaritan councellor where the ocasional attention seeker / wind-up is viewed as an occuptation hazaard. the ethos there is - the Volunteer who has never been taken in is the Volunteer who is too suspicious and cynical to be listening in the first place. That's not the same as humouring obvious time-wasters, but it does require a degree of open-mindedness which i have never lost.
I think your assessment is absoluitely fair, but i have no problem with 'attention seekers' - that in itself demonstrates a need for assistance of some kind - and that is what the AB is about.
