Hi Jillie  -  I think I may have confused you!  I'm sure that Cypress is correct but just wanted to validate 'say 7' which appeared in the clue.  I'm guessing that this cross-refers to 7a or 7d, hoping for a rhyme with 'Cyprus', the country.  'Indigent' and 'Chic' look pretty good  -  so if you write in 'Cypress' does this finish your puzzle?  Still want to know what 'say 7' represents!!  Cheers, ja.
