Jacobs Creek Chardonnay or Oxford Landing are 2 of my favorites.
Take a risk and buy any cheapy 2.99 from any big super and you will be pleasantly surprised.
I like pinot grigio (i think i may have spelt that wrong) it's quite cheap with a fruity taste but not sweet just medium dry. Cheers!

Honestly Marques de Leon from Tescos - in white and red is superb

2.06 a bottle and they cant keep up with demand.

Yellow Tail Chardonnay is very nice - About 5 - 6 a bottle - but well worth it.

White wine - Anjou. Red wine - Claret.

Both from Sainsbury's, cheap and very drinkable, particularly the white which never varies -  always tastes pineappley and buttery. Luscious!

Brown brothers'Chenin blanc' is very nice.Costs about 4.99. Morrisons or Asda usually have it.
