By Jove! That's rather a heavy coin, old chap.

Could be why it's stuck stewey. Good thinking old chap.
Can you get ciggies for a quid? Last time I used a cigarette machine it was 2/6 for ten.
Question Author
No, it was the 6th of 5 coins.
lol
stick something in the hole??
Now this may be slightly cynical but I should think that if there was a ciggie machine on Peckham station, the locals would get them for free :-)

Now I just need to get my bank details.....
Well then, that explains it: the other 4 bunged up the slot.
I suggest you insert yet another English Pound in behind the offending coins, sing a couple of verses of Rule Britannia and hope for the best old bean...

Look, your not helping. Please get yourselves down to Peckham railway station with all due speed. This is urgent. I'd go myself but I've got some washing on the line and it looks like rain.
Your washing looks like rain?
Take the washing off the line. Advance to train station. Drag offending machine home, and attack at will to rescue captured coin.
Question Author
Thanks for all the advice but he's bought some nicotine patches.
I rather suspect that he'll jolly well sew them onto the elbows of his Harris-Tweed mufti type jacket, wot?
Your washing looks like rain....Mike..that made me laugh :-)
would that be your wet suit then say wot
Count I'm puzzled by //No, it was the 6th of 5 coins. //

Mc Mouse - well spotted. Glad someone is awake!
ummmm
Glad someone twigged. As to the sixth out of five coins, I merely assumed that others had been drinking as much as me today.
That's why I mentioned 4.
