My daughter has just started classes which are teaching this dance technique, its not new but is becoming popular. I'd never heard of it.
Have you indulged or even heard of it.?

Didn't know it's name but it's what I do after a couple of bottles of wine.
The antics are quite similar to ones I once observed at a prayer-meeting in Bottom Hollow, Georgia.
why would anyone pay to learn a dance where you do what moves you want to?
actually, looking at other videos i think maybe i could teach this.
how much are people paying?

I was just joshing.
It was my daughter that told me about it because her friend from USA said they are dead serious about it over there.
I just wondered what sort of interest there would be over here.
I think we can all see right through it here.

Janey Lee Grace was talking at some length about NIA today on Radio 2's Steve Wright show. Apparently she's a white belt in it, because the whole thing involves elements of the martial arts as well as dance. Unsurprisingly, she was gushing in her praise for the concept but my only thoughts were "What a load of rubbish". I've nothing against people studying the martial arts and I love expressive dance but I can see no reason (other than making big bucks for the American husband and wife team who came up with the idea) for combining the two.
Like janey...
