Multiply by pi (no symbol on this keyboard) 3.142
207.37in or approx 17.3ft.

Thank you both I am no mathematician!!!
I get 34 ft.....LOL

c=2piR Where pi is 3.14 and the R =66ins.

c=6.28 x 66= 414 inches = 34ft approx

Where have I gone wrong?
sqad, the diameter is 66 inches.
Thefore the radius is only 33 inches for your calculation
r = 33 inches

The diameter is 66inchs, not the radius
you used value of radius in your formula as 66 inches
If diameter is 66 inches then radius = 33 inches.
If diameter is 66 then radius is only 33
So that seems to be pretty unanimous then :)
Of course....thanks all.....I will stick to Relationship and Dating for my posts in future.

About 6 inches?

I have seen that problem before, but the other way round (i.e. if you added 1foot to the rope what would the slack be all around the earth?)

Your rope thing has a flaw doc. If the rope passed through our village the pikeys would nick most of it.

Measuring slack is a different issue altogether, first we need a definition of slack.
