I seem to be having problems with my Macbook and the Tesco website. I want to buy a vacuum cleaner and some other stuff but every time I get into the relevant screen my machine just stops working.
The little colourful circle thing (like an egg-timer thing) just keep whirling around and I can't get any response from Safari (Mac OS X) and I have to 'force quit'.
Is this happening because I have done something stupid? What is it likely to be?
Can anybody point me in the right direction so that I can try tinkering with this stupid machine.
Sorry or the delay in replying... I had to restart my Mac!
I opened your posted link ok, went to one of the item links on that page, which opened fine... for about 20 seconds... then I too got the 'spinning wheel of death', which started to jump about the page. I couldn't even get to the 'force quit' option so had to restart my laptop. Strange.
I tried the above in Safari. I'll now try it in Firefox...
To get to the 'force quit' you have to click on the desktop to change the "Safari" to "Finder".
I didn't know that I can use firefox, or maybe I did and forgot ;-)
Does your macbook have a 'delete' button?
I won this and an ipod classic in a competition run by the Sun newspaper last year. I didn't really use it until my PC died. After so many years of using windows it is sometimes hard to use a Mac.
Thanks for your help. I am off for a cat nap and then I am going to hit 'Tesco direct' and do some serious browsing and spending.
