Certainly not! Steve Jobs would get a contract out on you! The closest you can get it Virtual PC and put XP on this. What's wrong with OSX?
Why on earth would you want to? OSX is superior to XP in many ways given it's grounding in Unix, and there are many sexier laptops out there that are intel-based if you're looking for that kind of thing.

nothing's wronx with osx, i like it much more than crappy windows, but i'm doin' some research for my grandads freind, and he wants a laptop for burning cd's and digital images for under a grand with xp on it, and apple came to mind with it's firewire. thoma
For under 1000 you will certainly get a laptop with a CD/CD-RW/DVD combo drive in it plus XP. I recommend Samsung or Dell as they both come with good after sales support. Macs will read Windows mounted CDs but will not burn CDs that a Windows PC will be able to read.
