I hate these team building exercises too. Yet, at every teacher training day we must engage in them. One time I was asked to face a colleague and tell them all the things I love about them and things I dislike. Another time we had to discuss our favorite cheese and find someone else who had chosen the same cheese.
While I have employed "team building" in my classroom, it is usually when something has warranted it: a fight or I feel we need a break and need to shake things up a bit. Kids do enjoy these types of things. But as an adult, I find them annoying and these workshop leaders are big on them.

Sounds like some whacko 'tried and tested' psychobabble lateral thinking test to me !
Just play into their hands, think carefully and and tell them what you think they want to hear. (don't if unsure)
I did exactly this in a job interview - they made me take a multiple choice 'psycho-test' and I got the picture, answered all the questions in this way and passed.
I got the job out of a shortlist of 20 other applicants.
I quit the job after 6 months because it didn't work out for me - shows how 'accurate' their assessment was :-/
