i think his acting skills lately of phils character portraying his drug addiction deserves a soap award what do you think?

He's ok. But I think the young lad who plays Aaron in Emmerdale, with his portrayal of his agony & dilemma accepting his homosexuality, far more deserves an award. He was excellent, especially in his double-handers (no pun intended....!) with the character of Paddy.

the missus watches it. but i reckon i act as good a drunk as him every friday night when i come home. soaps arent like real acting in my opinoin

we had a conversation about all the hooha surrounding this regarding it being on before the watershed. i reckon it's good for children to see this sort of drug-related stuff and wouldn't have minded mine seeing it when they were younger. i don't reckon it would frighten very young children, but even if it did, surely that's a good thing if it puts them off drug taking.

Eth....I agree. My mate is a heroin addict. My kids seen a really good friend of mine turn from a lovely lovely man...to a skinny, shaking, spaced out person they barely recognized.

They've seen the damage hard drugs cause.....I hope it's a life lesson to them. I no longer see him because it became too hard to watch...

So awful when this happens, a friend of mine had twin boys who got hooked on heroin, she fought like crazy to help them, did everything she possibly could for them, but still lost them both with 12 months of each other. It just destoyed her, (she then lost her daughter to cervical cancer 2 years later)

Oh horselady I saw a programme where a mother and father travelled around talking to youngsters about their twin boys who they lost to drugs - I wonder if this is your friend. If so they are doing a very worthwhile job now and I hope they can help keep others off this horrible drug

Who do you mean is doing a worthwhile job? The twins or their parents?
Because 'Horselady' said the Twins she knew died. Soo NO they can't be the same ones can they?
